Northwich Victoria's new manager Steve Davis has named former Barnsley team-mate Brendan O'Connell as his assistant at Wincham Park.
After succeeding Jimmy Quinn as boss Davis moved quickly to bring in the 36-year-old O'Connell to replace Dave Cooke.
Earlier, chairman David Stone had told the Daily Post of the new man in the top job: "Steve is well-known at the club and has the respect of all the players.
"He has done excellent work in the community since he decided to concentrate more on the coaching side and has impressed everyone with his skill and competence".
