The tribunal fee that Barnsley must pay to Scunthorpe United for the services of Paul Hayes as finally after 3 months been confirmed.
The Reds must in total pay a ludicrous £150,000 to the Iron.
£75,000 is due up front with £25,000 after 15 appearances £25,000 after 30 appearances and £25,000 after 45 appearances. If this didn't already add insult to injury whatever The Reds get for Hayes should they sell him, Scunthorpe will receive 15% of it!
Let hope Hayes is worth it. After 6 games it looks promising but in this League and for a club like Barnsley £150,000 is a huge amount. Considering Scunthorpe have bought his replacement for a mere £50,000 they have done pretty well.
It remains to be seen wether purchasing Paul Hayes was a huge mistake, but at least we " tapped up" Kell for nothing hey.
