Howard Reserve Debut In Doubt

Summer Signing Brain Howard may have to delay his Reds debut for a little longer. The left sided midfielder signed from Swindon Town in the summer was expected to play for The Reds second string against Walsall on Monday as he recovers from a fractured foot that he picked up in the very first day of pre-season training. Unfortunately for Brian he tweaked his groin in a training session today.

Manager Andy Ritchie told the Official Barnsley F.C website:

" We had some bad news this morning with Brian Howard limping out of training with a sore groin. He has some aches and pains really from coming back after a long lay-off and he has tweaked his groin a bit.

It is unfortunate because he was going to be involved with the reserves on Monday night but we will see how things settle down. We will see how things go with him"

More injury woe for Howard
