| Palace also in talks with Argentine |
Ex-Reds midfielder Hugo Colace could be set for a spectacular U-turn and return to Oakwell after being released at the end of his contract but the Argentine is also speaking to fellow Championship outfit Crystal Palace.
According to the Daily Mirror, the Reds are in talks with Colace but the South London Press also reports that Colace is on the verge of a move to the cash-strapped Eagles.
The 26-year-old, who scored seven goals from midfield last season has been linked with several clubs, both in England and abroad but the strongest link has been with Paulo Sousa, who wanted him at Swansea but then when the Portuguese manager left for Leicester, Colace was then linked with the Foxes.
Meanwhile, the Reds travel to York City tonight in their first official friendly in pre-season. The match at Bootham Crescent kicks off at 7.30pm. Tykes Mad will have an exclusive report tomorrow. |
