The Reds are giving a trial to former Derby County striker Marvin Robinson.
Thordarson knows the 23-year-old from a loan spell at Stoke which ended when the striker suffered a broken leg.
Robinson has had spells at Exeter and Tranmere most recently.
Walsall keeper Gavin Ward is now also training at Oakwell.
