New owners not Icelandic?

Peter Doyle will reveal the Reds new owners at a press conference on at 2pm.

But the buyers are not Icelandic and never have been.

According to the BBC website, the story claiming the club was being bought by an Icelandic led consortium was a red herring all along.

The club has been sold to an English buyer based in America (Sean Lewis?)although the new owner does have ties with former Stoke City boss Gudjon Thordarsson, who is set to be appointed as the club's new manager.
Glasweigan businessman Kenny Moyes is expected to be named as the Reds' new chairman.
