Davey seems to be taking the Paul Hart route of over-hauling the Reds squad after narrowly avoiding relegation from the Championship last season and has signed 9 players so far (2 on loan).
Defenders Marciano Bruma, Lewin Nyatanga, Dennis Souza, Rob Kozluk and Dominik Werling, midfielders Andy Johnson and Rohan Ricketts and strikers Kayode Odejayi and Miguel Mostto have come through the Oakwell door with a bid of £250,000 for Southend's Jamal Campbell-Ryce rejected early this week.
Reports are also now linking Davey with a swoop for Preston North End striker Patrick Agyemang who scored a fluke winner against Barnsley at Deepdale last season and a short term loan for young Manchester United goal-keeper Tom Heaton which would provide a stop-gap until first choice target Heinz Muller comes at the end of the Norweigen season in November.

Meanwhile it has been confirmed new signing Dennis Souza will wear the number 18 shirt next season.
