Paul Reid has been handed the captains armband on a permanent basis.

Former manager Paul Hart originally handed the armband to Tony Vaughan, although Reid often wore the armband in Vaughan's end of season absence.

Reid told the Official Site:

"Being made captain full time is an honor. I was fortunate to get the armband at Northampton during my time there and again last season when Tony Vaughan was out injured.

To be given the captaincy full time is a huge thing for me and I will have an extra spring in my step leading the lads out. It was a great feeling last season but I always knew in the back of my mind that the armband would go back to Tony when he was fit. Now I have been given it permanently it is a massive honor for me and my family".

Stephen McPhail has also worn the armband when both Reid and Vaughan have been unavailable.
