Reds chairman Peter Ridsdale has said the Club are still working hard to bring new players to Oakwell and some may be announced before the end of the week.
Peter told the official Barnsley FC website: “We have been working hard and activity is hotting up. We are very close to completing deals for a number of our targets and remain hopeful that they can be confirmed by the end of the week.
“With a bit of luck we could even have something to announce in the next 24 hours”.
