Scarsella set for Reds debut against the Bees

First choice keeper Nick Colgan will definitely miss Saturday's League match against Brentford at Oakwell due to his inclusion in the Republic of Ireland squad set to play France.

Although the FA of Ireland were happy to release Colgan for Barnsley's noon fixture on Saturday, they wanted him available for the 8pm kick-off at the Stade France in Paris and a suitable flight has not been found.

With Colgan out, 22-year-old Australian keeper David Scarsella will get his first team debut. Lets hope he has better luck than Danny Alcock last season.
