Chris Shuker has said only promotion will do this season.
He said: "We only want one thing - promotion.
"We're a big club and there is a lot of quality here, so our only ambition is to go up.
"With the players we've got and the financial situation now, after being in administration, the club is better all round."
"Daniel Nardiello, the lad we've got from Manchester United, looks very good. Tom Baker is really coming through and we all know about Stephen McPhail. It's good that we've strengthened."
He added: "I didn't get enough goals last season, and this time round I want to get more than ten. I haven't scored many and I want to put that right.
"With the formation we play, with me wide on the right, almost up front, I have got to be scoring goals.
"I'm feeling sharp and I've got no injury worries so hopefully I'll be in with a chance of starting on Saturday."
